A 19 year-old Regina male is facing charges in connection to a recent incident involving a stolen truck.
At approximately 8:54 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018, police members located a Ford F150 truck, which had earlier been reported as stolen, being driven in the area of 12th Avenue and St. John Street. Police observed the vehicle being parked in a garage in an alley off the 1800 block of Halifax Street and watched as two males, exited the garage, walking toward Halifax Street. The males were challenged by police and attempted to flee, but they were arrested for possession of the stolen truck. Police obtained a search warrant for the garage and found the truck. Further investigation led to charges against the 19 year-old male, alleged to be the driver of the vehicle. In addition this male was charged for possession of a stolen cellular phone.
Nineteen year-old Brandon Allan STARBLANKET, of Regina, is charged with:
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 (F150 truck) [355(a) CC];
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 (phone) [355(b) CC]; and
– Breach of Recognizance [145(3) CC].
STARBLANKET made his first court appearance on these in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.
