Two 15 year-old males from Regina and a 14 year-old male from Pilot Butte face charges after a robbery incident and a fire.
On Friday, November 16, 2018, at approximately 12:18 a.m., police were dispatched to the 2100 block for of 11th Avenue the report of a robbery. Information received was that three young males, one armed with a weapon, attempted to rob a 25 year-old male of his belongings, but the victim managed to run away.
At approximately 12:40 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Garnet Street for a garbage fire. Witnesses reported that young males had started the fire and fled. Police located the three males in the area of the 3400 block of Saskatchewan Drive. During the investigation and subsequent arrest, a weapon was located on one of the males.
A 15 year-old Regina male, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)];
- Mischief under $5,000 [CC 430(4)];
- Fail to comply [CC 145(5.1)]; and
- Carry concealed weapon [CC 90].
A 15 year-old Regina male, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)];
- Mischief under $5,000 [CC 430(4)]; and
- Fail to comply [CC 145(5.1)].
A 14 year-old Pilot Butte male, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)]; and
- Mischief under $5,000 [CC 430(4)].
The three youths made their first appearance in Provincial Youth Court on these charges today, November 16, 2018, at 9:30 a.m.
