On Friday, December 14, 2018, drug enforcement was conducted by multiple investigative units in Regina. A significant quantity of drugs and a semi-automatic firearm were seized in the searches.
CDSA search warrants were executed in the following areas of the city: 2200 Block Pasqua Street; 100 Block Cedar Meadow Drive; 900 Block North Rowell Crescent; 0-100 Block of Spruceview Road; 1400 Block Empress Street; and 300 block Toronto Street.
The drug enforcement was conducted after Drug Unit identified multiple individuals involved in drug trafficking activity. A large quantity of cocaine, Canadian currency, a semi-automatic firearm, ammunition, multiple cellular devices, a heat sealer, a money counter and evidentiary items indicative of drug trafficking were seized during the investigation.
A group of four individuals were arrested during the enforcement activity and are facing numerous charges under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). The accused are all from Regina. They are: 27 year-old Ricky John SANDERSON; 27 year-old Jordan Dean KLYNE; 29 year-old Erik Alan MULLEN; and 24 year-old Brendan James William Wesley SHAW.
Five vehicles were seized in relation to this drug enforcement operation: a 2004 BMW; a 2013 Jeep Wrangler; a 2008 Mercedes Benz; a 2014 Chev Truck; and a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica.
All four accused will make their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018.
