A 31 year-old Regina male is facing charges in connection with a collision that occurred on Saturday, September 21, 2019, on Ring Road between Albert Street and Wascana Parkway. The collision, which involved a pickup truck and a semi-truck, sent drivers of both vehicles to hospital with injuries.
At 02:55 hours on September 21, 2019, police were dispatched to the westbound lanes of Ring Road, between Albert Street and the Wascana Parkway, for a report of a head-on motor vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported the driver of the pickup truck, a 31 year-old male to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the semi-truck, a 38 year-old male from Calgary was also transported to hospital for injuries sustained in the collision. Investigation indicates that driver of the pickup truck was driving east (the wrong way) on the westbound lanes of Ring Road. Collision Reconstructionists were called to assist with the investigation.
Initially police closed both eastbound and westbound roadways. Roadways were opened fully at 1230 hours September 21, 2019.
Investigation has led to alcohol–related charges against the driver of the pick-up truck.

SKOYE was released on a JP Undertaking to appear in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019.
