A 37 year-old Regina male is facing charges of Attempted Murder in connection with a shooting incident that occurred last weekend in east Regina.
In this incident, police were dispatched at 5:10 a.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2019, to the 1900 block of Fleet Street for a report of two victims who had sustained injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. EMS transported the victims, both adult males, to hospital for treatment. Through investigation, police learned the shooting had taken place in the area of the 400 block of Fines Drive. They secured the area and requested Major Crimes, Forensic Identification and other resources for the investigation. Continued investigation into this incident led to the arrest, on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, of a 37 year-old male. Investigation into this matter is still ongoing.
Thirty-seven year-old Steven Karl MILLER, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Attempt to Commit Murder Using a Firearm [239(1)(A.1) CC]; and
- Arson Causing Damage to Property [434 CC].
MILLER will make his first court appearance on these three charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. today: Thursday, April 25, 2019.
