On May 1, 2019 at approximately 5:10 p.m. police were dispatched to a business in the 2200 block of Broad Street for a report of a robbery.
The lone male suspect entered the business and demanded an amount of money and property. The suspect was carrying a pointed weapon during the commission of the offence. The suspect was able to obtain some property and then fled the area. There were no injuries sustained during the incident.
Shortly after the first offence, police were dispatched to a business in the 2300 block of Albert Street for a report of a robbery believed to involve the same suspect based on description, weapon, and method. In this occurrence the suspect also demanded money and property and brandished a pointed weapon. The suspect was able to obtain a quantity of cash and property and then fled the area. Again there were no injuries sustained during the incident.
The suspect is described as: male, 35 – 45 years of age, Caucasian, approximately 5’5” tall, heavy set, with a salt and pepper beard. The suspect was wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, black pants, and white shoes.
