On Sunday, May 5, 2019, at approximately 2:10 p.m., police received a report that a vehicle was stolen overnight Friday, May 3, 2019, while parked in a driveway in the 300 block of McIntyre Street.
On May 11, 2019, a vehicle driver side window was smashed while parked on the 3300 block of 15th Avenue, where a wallet containing credit and debit cards was stolen.
Investigation revealed that two males, aged 33 and 32, had made multiple tap card purchases with the stolen debit and credit cards. Also on May 11, police observed these two males inside the stolen vehicle. At approximately 7:30 p.m., the two males were arrested at a service station on the 4300 block of Albert Street. A search of the 33 year-old male revealed ammunition, in breach of two of his previous prohibition orders. A search of the 32 year-old male revealed stolen bank cards, gift cards, and a substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Thirty-three year-old Bradley Richard LAKEMAN, and thirty-two year-old Bradley William BEST, both of Regina, are jointly charged with:
- Mischief under $5000 [CC 430(4)];
- 4 X Identify Fraud – Possess Identity Document [CC 56.1(1)];
- 2 X Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 [CC 355(B)];
- 2 X Theft under $5000 [CC 334(B)]; and
- Unauthorized use of credit card [CC 342(1)(C)].
Thirty-three year-old Bradley Richard LAKEMAN, of Regina, is also charged with:
- 2 X Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000[CC 355(B)];
- Identify Fraud – Possess Identity Document [CC 56.1(1)];
- 2 X Possession of firearm/ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)]; and
- Fail to comply with probation order [CC 733.1(1)].
Thirty-two year-old Bradley William BEST, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Unauthorized use of credit card [CC 342(1)(C)];
- Possession of a scheduled substance (methamphetamine) [CDSA 4(1)];
- Drive while prohibited [CT 320.18];
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 [CC 355(B)]; and
- Fail to comply with probation order [CC 733.1(1)].
Both accused made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Monday, May 13, 2019, at 9:30 a.m.
