The Regina Police Service has updated information to provide to our community about a male who was the subject of a public disclosure notice, under the authority of and pursuant to the Saskatchewan Public Disclosure Act, issued earlier this month. Forty-one year-old Jason Paul THORNE is no longer residing in Regina, as of today’s date: May 31, 2019.
Jason THORNE was arrested at his place of residence on Friday, May 31, 2019, just after 2:00 p.m., without incident. Correctional Service Canada issued a warrant of apprehension and suspension for THORNE’s arrest for a breach of one of the Special Conditions of his earlier release.
It is important to note that the arrest of Jason Paul THORNE is not the result of a new criminal offence but, as indicated, comes from his failure to abide strictly by one of the conditions of his release. THORNE’s status and supervision remains under the authority of Correctional Service Canada.
The original public advisory will be removed from public view in the coming days, since this individual has been returned to closed custody.
