The Regina Police Service is continuing its investigation into an alleged abduction that was the subject of a news release issued on June 7, 2019. In this case, a 17 year-old male reported having been kidnapped at gunpoint by an adult male and adult female. The victim also reported the abduction of a second, unidentified teenage male.
Continued investigation in this case, so far, does not support the existence of a second teenage male victim. There are no reports of missing persons that match the abduction report and no other indications that validate the claim that there is a second unknown male youth in connection to this case. This discrepancy, and other inconsistencies are being addressed, and the investigation is continuing. Police do not believe there is a public safety risk as a result of this reported occurrence.
The Regina Police Service thanks the public and the media for their understanding in this matter. Anyone who has information that could assist in this investigation is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
