Police have charged two males in connection with a firearms offence that occurred in May, which was the subject of a previous news release.
On the early morning of Thursday, May 9, 2019, at approximately 2:35 a.m., police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Harding Street for a disturbance where loud banging sounds were heard. Police arrived to find a male, in a vehicle, with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. EMS arrived and the male was transported to hospital.
Investigation into this incident led to a 25 year-old male and a 22 year-old male, who were arrested and charged.
Twenty-five year-old Tyson James Wilkinson, of Regina, is charged with:
- Attempt murder [CC 239].
Twenty-two year-old Sharmarke Dahir ALI, of Regina, is charged with:
- Attempt murder using a restricted/prohibited firearm [CC 239(1)(A)].
ALI made his first appearance on this charge in Provincial Court yesterday, July 18, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. WILKINSON made his first appearance on this charge in Provincial Court this morning, July 19, 2019, at 9:00 a.m.
