The Regina Police Service Drug Unit (RDU) completed an investigation into illegal drug trafficking within the City of Regina. Enforcement was completed on Friday August 23, 2019, with the assistance of the Street Gang Unit (SGU) and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU).
As the result of investigation, CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) search warrants were executed on Fines Drive, 6500 Block of Rochdale Boulevard and the 2900 block of Victoria Avenue. As a result of the enforcement action, 33 year-old Dexter Curtis MILLER, 26 year-old Cali Joanne HEIMLICK and 20 year-old Vanee MCKENZIE were arrested and are jointly charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Fentanyl) [5(2)CDSA];
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Methamphetamine) [5(2)CDSA]; and
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Cocaine) [5(2)CDSA].
In addition, MILLER and HEIMLICK are jointly charged with;
- Possession of proceeds of crime (Canadian Currency) over $5000 [355(a)CC].
MCKENZIE also received a charge of;
- Possession of proceeds of crime (Canadian Currency) under $5000 [355(b)CC].
Further, MILLER received charges of;
- Possession of stolen property (motorcycle) over $5000 [355(a)CC];
- Operating a vehicle while prohibited [320.18CC];
- Breach of Probation [733.1(1)]; and
- Two counts of Breach of a recognizance [145(3)].
All three accused appeared in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2019.
