The Regina Police Service is currently investigating a firearms incident that occurred early this morning, Thursday, September 19, 2019, in the 2200 block of Osler Street.
Police were dispatched at around 0040hrs to the 2200 block of Osler Street for multiple reports of what was believed to be a single gunshot. Reports also implied that there was a possible victim injured as a result. Shortly after receiving the calls for service a male arrived at the hospital with an injury consistent with a single gunshot wound and confirmed the area of the occurrence to be the 2200 block of Osler Street. The victim is currently in hospital with an injury described at this time as non- life-threatening.
Investigation into this incident is still active and ongoing. While there are still many outstanding questions with respect to the firearms offence, investigators believe this was not a random occurrence. Investigators are still conducting inquiries in order to clarify the circumstances and determine who is involved in this event.
