A 20 year old male and a 17 year-old female youth are facing stolen auto related charges as the result of a weekend investigation.
On Saturday, August 31, 2019, police were in the area of 7th Avenue and Princess Street, when they spotted a vehicle with no tail lights on. They were able to confirm the vehicle was reported stolen on August 29th. Police were able to discreetly follow the vehicle until it was abandoned near McCarthy Blvd. and Armour Road. Two individuals were located nearby and arrested. Further investigation led to charges against a 20 year-old male and a 17 year-old female youth.
Twenty year-old Chance Chase FINK, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 [355(b) CC];
- Possession of Automobile Master Key [353(1)(b) CC]; and
- Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC].
FINK made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
A 17 year-old, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with a Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC]. She will make her first appearance on the charge in Youth Court on September 5, 2019.
