An adult female and a female youth are facing charges in connection with a stolen auto incident the evening of October 1, 2019.
On October 1, 2019, around 8:00 p.m., members of the Regina Police Service, both uniformed and plainclothes officers, conducted surveillance on a stolen white Ford Escape. Officers observed the vehicle and its occupants as it disobeyed several stop signs and eventually came to a stop in the 2200 block of Rae Street. Two females left the vehicle and walked away. Officers had established a perimeter by then, so a canine team was used to locate the suspects, who were found under a deck in the 2200 block Angus Street. The two suspects were charged with possession of the stolen vehicle and other offences.
The youth cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. In addition to an outstanding warrant, she is charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 [355(a) CC] and Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC]. The accused appeared in Youth Court at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.
Twenty year-old J’Lynn Irene ACROSSTHEMOUNTAIN, of Regina, is charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 [355(a) CC] and Operate a Conveyance (Drive) while Prohibited [320.18(1)(a) CC]. She appeared in Provincial Court on these charges on Wednesday morning, October 2, 2019.
