The Regina Police Service is involved in an investigation of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred on Saturday evening.
At 8:36 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019, police units were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle/pedestrian collision which occurred at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Embury Street. A female pedestrian sustained injuries and was transported to hospital by EMS. Injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Members diverted traffic away from the scene of the collision and remained at the scene for the purposes of the investigation.
The preliminary investigation indicates a 51 year-old female pedestrian was walking southbound across Victoria Avenue at Embury Street. A vehicle in the left eastbound lane of Victoria Avenue stopped for the pedestrian. A vehicle in the right eastbound lane of Victoria Avenue did not stop and struck the pedestrian. The vehicle involved in the collision was nearby and the driver identified themselves to police at the scene.
The collision is still under investigation.
