A three-vehicle collision on Monday evening resulted in relatively minor injuries and a ticket, under the Traffic Safety Act, for one driver.
Regina Police members were dispatched at about 7:58 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2019, to a collision in the area of North Fleet Street and McDonald Street. Initial information indicated three vehicles: a semi, a GMC Sierra, and a dump truck were involved in the collision. EMS was also dispatched for the driver of one vehicle (Sierra) who appeared to be injured. Upon investigation, officers determined the driver of the pickup (Sierra) was eastbound on McDonald Street and failed to stop at the red light. The Sierra collided with the dump truck, propelling it into the semi. The driver of the Sierra was taken to hospital for treatment. There were no other injuries reported.
Once the collision scene was clear, the investigating officers issued the driver of the GMC Sierra a ticket under the Traffic Safety Act for failing to stop at a red light. The matter is concluded.
