Possession of a pellet gun led to weapons charges as well as two breaches for a 40 year-old Regina male just after midnight, last night.
At approximately 12:05 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019, police members were dispatched to the 2900 block of 13th Avenue for a report of a suspicious person. In the call, it was learned that a male was seen dropping what appeared to be a pistol, and then picking it up again. A number of officers responded and took up positions outside the vestibule of a business. The male suspect was called out with hands up and police members took him safely into custody. The male was found to be the subject of warrants for arrest. A search of the suspect revealed a pellet gun and a small knife. Once at Police Headquarters, the male appeared to go into medical distress, so EMS was requested and he was transported to hospital. The male will face weapons and breach charges.
