Two adults: a 31 year-old female and a 35 year-old male, both of Regina, are facing numerous charges after a lengthy investigation into recovered stolen property. Much of the property is linked to thefts from vehicles, mainly in the downtown neighbourhood around Regina’s General Hospital.
These incidents of theft from auto date back to early July. In many of these incidents, the front passenger side window of a parked vehicle was smashed and then articles stolen from inside. Some of the stolen property was then re-sold to pawn shops with the suspects posing as the legitimate owners of the items being offered. On October 24, 2019, a search warrant was executed on a residence in the 1300 block of Victoria Avenue. The search revealed some items that matched those reported stolen in earlier theft from auto incidents. Two individuals are alleged to have been involved in at least a dozen criminal events including Break, Enter & Theft, Theft from Auto, Possession of Stolen Property and Trafficking in Stolen Property. Investigation into these matters is ongoing.
