The Regina Police Service is currently investigating a firearms incident that occurred early this evening, Friday, December 20, 2019, in the 1100 block of Retallack Street.
Police were dispatched at around 6:55 p.m. to the 1100 block of Retallack Street for reports of what was believed to be multiple gunshots. One report also implied that there was a possible victim injured as a result. Police arrived and confirmed that a residence had sustained damage consistent with a firearm discharge. Police also located a victim inside the residence that had suffered a very minor injury as a result. The victim was taken to hospital as a precaution, was treated for the injury, and released.
Investigation into this incident is still active and ongoing. While there are still many outstanding questions with respect to the firearms offence, investigators believe this was not a random occurrence. Investigators are still conducting inquiries in order to clarify the circumstances and determine who is involved in this event.
