A 39 year-old Regina male is facing criminal charges including possession of stolen vehicles and other stolen property, in connection with events between October 11th and December 6th.
On November 27, 2019 an enclosed trailer was stolen from 1700 block of MacRae Drive, containing a generator and numerous bags of recyclable bottles, collected by a youth ringette team. On November 28, 2019, a male suspect was identified bringing what was believed to be the stolen recycling to a bottle depot. He was driving a white Toyota Tundra truck. Police located the Toyota Tundra at a residence in the early morning hours of December 6, 2019. The truck was determined to be stolen out of Fort Qu’Appelle since before November 27, 2019. The male suspect was located in the house and arrested. Police also obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence and as a result located a generator that had been in the trailer stolen from 1700 block MacRae Drive.
This same male had been a suspect in a possession of a stolen vehicle that had been taken from a business in the 1500 block of McAra Street on October 11, 2019. That vehicle was recovered on October 13, 2019 in the 1800 block of Wallace Street.
Thirty-nine year-old Jason John DUNLOP, of Regina, is charged with:
– 2 X Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 (vehicles) [355(a) CC];
– 2 X Possession of Stolen Property (generator, recycling) under $5,000 [355(b) CC];
DUNLOP made a court appearance on the first two charges on Friday, December 6th. He was re-arrested over the weekend on the two Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 (generator, recycling) charges and appeared on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019.
