Charges have been laid after investigation into an incident which resulted in a vehicle collision on December 11, 2019, which was the subject of a previous media release.
On December 11, 2019, at approximately 2:55 p.m., police were dispatched to the alley of the 600 block of Athol Street for the report of a suspicious vehicle in the alley. Information received was that an occupant in the vehicle had a firearm. A high risk traffic stop on the vehicle was initiated on 5th avenue. As police approached, the vehicle took off and collided with another vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
Four occupants of the first vehicle, a 37 year-old male, a 25 year-old male, a 21 year-old male, and a 14 year-old male, were taken into custody. A firearm was not recovered, however a search revealed a machete, and vehicle master keys. Investigation also led to a charge in relation to a gas drive-off theft that occurred at a service station on the 4300 block of Albert Street on December 10, 2019. One of the males was released without charge.
Thirty-seven year-old Curtis James PAMBRUN, of Regina, is charged with:
- 5 X Possession of automobile master key [CC 353(1)(b)]; and
- Fail to comply with undertaking [CC 145(3)].
Twenty-five year-old Jordan HARKNESS-BROWN, of Regina, is charged with:
- Theft Under $5,000 [CC 334(B)];
- Flight from peace officer [CT 320.17]; and
- Operate conveyance dangerous to public [CT 320.13(1)].
A 14 year-old, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88].
The charged make their first appearances in court on January 23, 2020.
