A 25 year-old Regina male is charged in connection with the 8th homicide in Regina in 2019. The victim in this case was 27 year-old Jordan Gaiton DENTON, of Regina.
This investigation began when police were dispatched to the 800 block of Robinson Street around 3:25 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019. There police and EMS located an adult male, who was confirmed to be deceased. Police secured the scene and requested the Coroner, Major Crimes and Forensic Identification members to the scene. On November 11th, police confirmed the death to be a homicide and made the victim’s identity public. This investigation continued, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, culminating in the arrest, on February 12, 2020, of a 25 year-old Regina male, who is now charged with First-Degree Murder and a weapons-related offence.
Twenty-five year-old Dillon Ricky WHITEHAWK, of Regina, is charged with:
- First Degree Murder [235(1) CC]; and
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition, contrary to prohibition [117.01(1) CC]
WHITEHAWK made his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2020.
