On Saturday, January 11, 2020, at approximately 3:25 a.m., police were dispatched to a residence on the 400 block of Connaught Street for the report of a weapons offence. Information received was that two people had been stabbed. Police arrived and observed two persons, a 57 year-old male and a 28 year-old female, receiving treatment from EMS with injuries, and learned that during a gathering at the residence, a group of females were asked to leave by a resident after a confrontation. The four females exited, but then harassed those inside by banging on windows and doors. When a resident opened the door to get them to stop, the females rushed in and attempted to steal belongings. During his attempt to stop the theft, the 57 year-old male was stabbed by one of the females. While attempting to intervene, the 28 year-old female was also assaulted. It is believed that the four females then fled in a vehicle.
