The Regina Police Service has arrested and charged a 27 year-old male in connection with a January 2020 homicide case. The victim, 49 year-old Rodney Troy RUBERRY, was discovered, critically injured, on January 24, 2020, and later died in hospital.
On Friday, January 24, 2020, at approximately 3:19 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the 4400 block of Dewdney Avenue for a property check after a witness saw individuals running from the house. When police arrived, they discovered a male who was in medical distress and requested EMS. The male was transported to hospital and at approximately 4:28 p.m., he was pronounced deceased. Officers maintained security of the scene and requested additional resources: the Coroner, as well as Major Crimes and Forensic Identification investigators. The investigation, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service began and on January 27th, this death investigation was deemed a homicide case. Continued investigation led to the arrest, on February 12, 2020, of a 27 year-old male. This matter is still under investigation.
Twenty-seven year-old Josiah PAMBRUN, of Regina, is charged with:
- Manslaughter [236(a) CC].
PAMBRUN will make his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2020.
