Regina Police Service members arrested and charged a 39 year-old male yesterday in connection with the possession of a large rental truck, reported stolen on the weekend.
On February 5, 2020, at about 4:30 p.m., members of two plain clothes units located a large moving truck (Ford E-350) backed in at the rear of a property on the 1300 block of Montague Street. Police were aware that there had been a similar vehicle reported stolen on February 1, 2020, from a business that leases and rents moving trucks and trailers. They maintained surveillance and were able to confirm the license plate of the truck matched that of the stolen vehicle. Officers followed the truck to the 1400 block of Athol Street. A male exited the truck and was taken into custody without incident. He was subsequently charged for possession of the stolen truck.
