The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that may assist in the investigation of a break and enter and assault that occurred early this morning.
On February 19, 2020, at approximately 3:17 a.m., police were dispatched to a residence on the 1100 block of Robinson Street for what was reported as the sound of a gunshot in the residence. A female was in another room when she heard people enter the house, and then heard what sounded like a gunshot. The female exited via a window and called police. Police met with the female and entered the house, where they located an injured 21 year-old male. The house was cleared by police and EMS treated the male, who had sustained injuries; however, the injuries were consistent with injuries caused by a bladed weapon, not a firearm. The victim was transported to hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Anyone who has information to assist police may contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
