The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that may assist in a weapons offence investigation. At approximately 5:57 p.m., on Saturday February 22, 2020, police were dispatched to the Pasqua Hospital for a male who attended the Emergency Unit for a gunshot wound.
It is believed that just minutes prior, the victim was in the west lane of 1200 Block of Rae Street when he was approached by a group of 4 to 5 males. One of the males in the group had a firearm. The victim fled the area on foot as gun shots were fired. One of the rounds struck the victim.
The victim’s injuries are described as non-life-threatening.
The suspects were last seen running north down the west alley of the 1200 block Rae Street. The victim was unable to provide a description of the shooter or the other males in the group.
Police investigation is ongoing.
