Two people are facing charges after a stolen vehicle was recovered on Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, police were dispatched to the parking lot of a business on the 3900 block of E Quance Gate. When officers arrived, they located a vehicle that was confirmed to be stolen. One female was inside the vehicle and a second male suspect was located by police inside the business. A search of the vehicle revealed a firearm and ammunition.
Thirty-nine year-old Davena PARKER of Regina has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (a)];
- Unauthorized Possession of A Firearm [CC 91 (1)];
- Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition [CC 86 (1)];
- Possession of A Prohibited or Restricted Firearm With Ammunition [CC 95 (1)(A)];
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number Has Been Tampered With [CC 108 (1)(B)], and
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition in Motor Vehicle [CC 94 (1)].
- Failure To Comply with Condition of a Release Order [CC 145 (5)(A)];
Twenty-nine year-old Darwin MOGENSON of Regina has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (a)];
- Unauthorized Possession of A Firearm [CC 91 (1)];
- Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition [CC 86 (1)];
- Possession of A Prohibited or Restricted Firearm With Ammunition [CC 95 (1)(A)];
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number Has Been Tampered With [CC 108 (1)(B)], and
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition in Motor Vehicle [CC 94 (1)].
Both PARKER and MOGENSON made their first court appearance in Provincial Court on these charges on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
