Two adults and one youth are facing charges after an assault over the weekend.
On Saturday, February 1, 2020, at around 12:45 a.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of King Street for a report of a weapons offence. Upon arrival, police located an injured male victim. He was transported to hospital for treatment and has since been released.
Early information provided to police indicated that an earlier disagreement at a house party resulted in the suspects arriving at the residence, allegedly assaulting the victim, and then fleeing the residence. Officers and K9 were able to establish a track of the suspects, which resulted in the arrest of one adult male and one male youth. Further investigation led to the arrest of a second adult male.
Twenty-three year-old Spencer Logan CATHCART of Regina has been charged with:
• Aggravated Assault [CC 268 (1)];
• Break And Enter With Intent [CC 348 (1)(a)]; and
• Disguise With Intent [CC 351 (2)].
Eighteen year-old Nicholas Pisim FAVEL of Regina has been charged with:
• Aggravated Assault [CC 268 (1)];
• Break And Enter With Intent [CC 348 (1)(a)]; and
• Disguise With Intent [CC 351 (2)].
A fifteen year-old male youth, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
• Aggravated Assault [CC 268 (1)];
• Break And Enter With Intent [CC 348 (1)(a)]; and
• Disguise With Intent [CC 351 (2)].
CATHCART and FAVEL made their first court appearances in Provincial Court this morning (February 3, 2020) at 9:30 a.m.
The male youth will make his first court appearance in Provincial Youth Court on February 23, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
