A 43 year-old male, who was previously the subject of a Public Disclosure notice, is now wanted on a Saskatchewan-wide Warrant. It’s alleged Jason Paul THORNE left the residence where he is required to stay under the conditions of his statutory release. It’s alleged THORNE cut off an electronic monitoring device and left his residence just before midnight on Friday, March 27, 2020. A Warrant of Apprehension and Suspension was issued, and the Regina Police Service was notified the morning of March 28th. An RPS investigator then requested a Criminal Code warrant for THORNE, for being unlawfully at large.
Jason Paul THORNE is described as: Male, 43 years old, 5 ‘ 9” tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds, medium build, with brown eyes and black hair.
THORNE was returned to Regina, on a statutory release, beginning Friday, March 20, 2020. The same day, under the authority of, and pursuant to, the Saskatchewan Public Disclosure Act, the Regina Police Service issued a public advisory on THORNE indicating he is considered to be a high risk to reoffend sexually. Jason Paul THORNE has a criminal history which includes sexual offences and has a history of reoffending. He poses a high risk for acts of sexual offending against female children. The Regina Police Service issued the Public Disclosure notice because of the poor prospects for reduction of THORNE’s risk through treatment interventions.
Police are searching for Jason Paul THORNE in order to arrest him for being unlawfully at large. Anyone who sees 43 year-old Jason Paul THORNE, alone or in the company of others, is asked to contact the Regina Police Service immediately at 306-777-6500.
