The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is conducting a death investigation after the discovery of a deceased male.
On Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at approximately 5:30 a.m., patrol members came across a parked vehicle engulfed in flames on 13th Avenue E and Embury Street. The Regina Fire Department was called to the scene. Early investigation revealed there was a person inside the vehicle. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS. Patrol officers secured the immediate area and requested the additional resources of the Major Crimes and Forensic Identification Units, as well as the coroner.
Next of kin notification has been completed. Police investigators will work in conjunction with the Coroners Service to determine the circumstances of the death.
