The Regina Police Service Drug Unit (RDU) in conjunction with the Saskatoon Integrated Intelligence Unit, the Saskatoon RCMP Federal Serious Organized Crime Unit and the Regina ICRT completed an investigation into drug trafficking within the Cities of Regina and the Saskatoon area. As indicated in an earlier release, the Regina Drug Unit completed enforcement in relation to the investigation in Regina on May 14, 2020. Continued enforcement by the ICRT on May 15, 2020, led to two more arrests and charges.
Twenty-six year-old Jordan HARKNESS-BROWN and 20 year-old Brooklynn SAINT, both of Regina, were arrested and charged. The charges for each individual are as follows:
Jordan HARKNESS-BROWN:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl) [5(2)CDSA];
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine) [5(2)CDSA];
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000 [355(B)CC];
- Possession of a prohibited weapon [91(2)CC], and
- Breach of undertaking [145(4)(a)CC].
Brooklynn SAINT:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl) [5(2)CDSA];
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine) [5(2)CDSA];
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000 [355(B)CC];
- Possession of a prohibited weapon [91(2)CC]; and
- Breach of probation [733.1(1)CC].
HARKNESS-BROWN was also found to have outstanding warrants from, Regina, Moose Jaw, Swift Current and Brandon, MB. Both individuals were remanded and held for court.
