The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, continues to investigate the death of a male, whose body was located in a burning vehicle on May 27, 2020.
At this time, investigators have determined that there is nothing to suggest the death of the male is criminal in nature. The fire also does not appear suspicious at this time. Investigation is ongoing.
On Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at approximately 5:30 a.m., patrol members came across a parked vehicle engulfed in flames on 13th Avenue E and Embury Street. The Regina Fire Department was called to the scene. Early investigation revealed there was a person inside the vehicle. The adult male was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.
Next of kin notification has been completed. The Regina Police Service will not be releasing the name of the male at this time.
Police investigators will continue to work in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service to investigate the circumstances of the death.
