A 46 year-old male is facing charges after investigation into a domestic-related incident last Friday in which a male is alleged to have pointed a firearm at a female, and uttered threats against her. In gaining control of this individual, police deployed a CEW commonly known as a Taser.
Police were called to the 800 block of Grey Street on May 22, 2020 at approximately 7:22 p.m. for a reported domestic dispute. When officers arrived, they located the suspect brandishing a handgun. Officers attempted to gain control of the suspect by commanding him to drop the gun. When the suspect refused, a CEW was successfully deployed and the suspect was safely taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was assessed by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and was transported to detention. Further investigation led to charges against this individual.
