On July 21, 2020, the Regina Police Service Drug Unit (RDU) completed an investigation into fentanyl trafficking within the City of Regina. A vehicle stop on Highway 1 resulted in the seizure of approximately one kilogram of fentanyl (roughly 10,000 doses) and a small amount of methamphetamine. The following individuals were charged in relation to the investigation:
- Thirty year-old Gerald DOMONDON of Regina, SK
- Thirty-seven year-old Crandell ESTRADA of Regina, SK
- Twenty-seven year-old Nhigel CEREDON of Regina, SK
All three individuals were jointly charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl [5(2) CDSA];
In addition, DOMONDON and ESTRADA were also charges with possession of a scheduled substance (methamphetamine) [4(1) CDSA]
All three made their first court appearance on the same date and were remanded into custody.
