Two adults: a male and a female, are charged with attempted murder following investigation into a weapons offence. One 30 year-old male is in hospital as the result of injuries described as serious.
On August 1st, 2020 at approximately 4:45 p.m., police were dispatched to Krauss St for a report of a weapons offence, which occurred outside a residence. When police arrived, they found a 30 year-old male victim, who was taken to hospital by EMS. No suspects were located at the scene, but continued investigation led to the identification of suspects in the case. Continued investigation led to an emergency services operation at Wolfe Place on August 2, 2020. On that date, a male and female suspect were arrested and subsequently charged in connection with this case.
Twenty-two year-old Dominick Mark COCHRANE, and 23 year-old Angelica Violet TAYPOTAT, both of Regina, are charged with:
- Attempt Murder Using a Firearm [239(1)(a.1) CC].
In addition, COCHRANE is charged with:
- Possession of a firearm while prohibited from doing so [117.01(1) CC.
Both accused persons made their appearances on the charges before Provincial Court this morning (Tuesday, August 4, 2020) at 9:30 a.m.
