The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is conducting a death investigation following the discovery of a deceased adult female on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.
On Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at approximately 3:45 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Angus Street for a report of a person slumped on a doorstep; the caller said it appeared the person was not breathing. EMS and police arrived and EMS confirmed that the person was deceased. Police secured the area and began investigation, requesting the Coroner, Forensic Identification and Major Crimes to the scene. The house was a vacant house. Officers canvassed the neighbourhood and looked for any video which could inform the investigation. The identity of the deceased person was not confirmed until later in the morning. With the identity confirmed, notification was made to the deceased woman’s next-of-kin. The deceased person’s identity will not be released by the Regina Police Service at this time.
This investigation will continue, led by the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, in order to determine as closely as possible, the circumstances surrounding this death.
