On September 11, 2020, at approximately 8:30pm, police were dispatched to the 2700 block of 5th Ave. in regards to a weapons offence involving a firearm. Information was received that a grey Dodge Caravan was driving in the area while one of the occupants of the van was shooting a firearm out the window.
Police attended the area and located the suspect vehicle unoccupied. Two firearms were located inside the vehicle.
Suspect #1, the driver is described as an Indigenous male in his late 20’s, wearing a black hat and black bandanna over his face. There was a second male as well as a female passenger inside the vehicle.
There is no evidence to suggest anyone was injured as a result of the incident however, this incident presents a significant risk to public safety.
