A third person has been charged with Second Degree Murder in connection with the death of a 16 year-old male, whose body was found, on May 7, 2011, on the ground near the intersection of 8th Avenue and Rae Street.
At about 5:12 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2011, police officers en route to an unrelated matter found the body of a male youth in the front yard of a property near 8th Avenue and Rae Street. The male was confirmed deceased and subsequent investigation confirmed the death to be a homicide, the third in Regina in 2011. Two males, 25 and 21 years old, were charged with Second Degree Murder on May 11, 2011. Now, a 23 year-old male has also been arrested and charged.
Twenty-three year-old Terry Shawn SMOKE, DOB: 1988-03-15, of Regina, is charged with Second Degree Murder [235(1) CC]. SMOKE will be remanded until his first appearance in Provincial Court on Monday, May 16, 2011.
