The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is investigating the sudden death of a 25 year-old male, who was discovered at an apartment this morning in the 1200 block of Retallack Street.
At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012, police were dispatched to an apartment residence in the 1200 block of Retallack Street for a report of a male, possibly deceased, at that address. Police and EMS attended and found a 25 year-old male who was confirmed deceased at the scene by EMS. The deceased male, who is the resident of the apartment, was found by a family member who went to the apartment this morning. Police secured the scene and requested the Coroner. Investigators will now work with the Office of the Chief Coroner to determine the circumstances of this death. The deceased person has been identified by police and his family is aware of his death; however, his identity will not be made public at this time.
At this time, there is no indication that this is a suspicious death; however as with any sudden, unexplained death, police will conduct a thorough investigation to clarify the circumstances. There are no other details for release at this time.
