The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is conducting a death investigation after the discovery of the body of a deceased adult male in the area of the 2200 block of Dewdney Avenue on Sunday November 18, 2012.
At approximately 1:15 p.m. today (November 18th), police received a call from CP Rail worker who located a deceased male in the CP yard. Officers secured the surrounding area and requested additional resources, including Forensic Identification, Major Crimes and the Coroner. The deceased person has been identified; however, his name will not be released at this time. Police are contacting the deceased man’s next-of-kin to make notification of his death.
At this early stage in this investigation, police are treating this as a suspicious death until more is known about the circumstances. Police are holding the scene at the CP Rail Yard, pending further investigation.
