The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is investigating the suspicious death of an adult male at an apartment residence in the 2900 block of Victoria Avenue earlier today.
At approximately 9:14 a.m., on Sunday, March 10, 2013, police were called to an apartment in the 2900 block of Victoria Avenue for a report of an assault with a weapon. Officers arrived, searched and secured the building and located the body of an adult male, who was then confirmed deceased by EMS. The identity of the deceased male has yet to be confirmed. Notification of his family will be carried out upon confirmation of identity. The Coroner was requested to the scene. Police also located a 43 year-old male who was taken to hospital for treatment and later released. Another male, a 66 year-old, was found to be unharmed. Police took a fourth person, a 43 year-old male, into custody without further incident.
This death, and the circumstances surrounding it, are the subject of investigation by police and the Office of the Chief Coroner. Until more is known through investigation, this will be treated as a suspicious death. There are no other details for release at this time.
