A 36 year-old male has been arrested and charged with Second-Degree Murder in connection with the death, last December, of 26 year-old Delvin Charles MIKE, who was found critically injured in the early morning hours of December 31, 2012.
On Monday, December 31, 2012, at approximately 12:35 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Robinson Street for a report of an injured male. Police arrived and located the body of a 26 year-old male who was critically injured. Police carried out CPR until EMS arrived and transported the victim to hospital. The male was pronounced deceased in hospital a short time later. The victim was identified as Delvin Charles MIKE.
As the result of investigation and, with the assistance of RCMP in Fort Qu’Appelle, SK, a 36 year-old male was arrested yesterday, Wednesday, May 29, 2013, and charged in connection with this case. The investigation is ongoing.
The accused, 36 year-old Nathaniel Thomas ELK, DOB: 1976-07-31, of the Fort Qu’Appelle District, has been charged with Second Degree Murder contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. ELK will make his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013.
