Four Charged in Marihuana Drug Bust

Four people, three males and a female, face numerous drug-related charges as the result of continued investigation into drug trafficking in the city of Regina by the Regina Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (RIDEST), assisted by the Street Crimes section of the Regina Police Service.

On July 22, 2013, members of the RIDEST conducted surveillance on individuals suspected of drug trafficking. One male was arrested in a traffic stop carried out just before 1:00 p.m. in the area of 12th Avenue and Broder Street. A search incident to this arrest yielded approximately four pounds of marihuana. A second traffic stop was initiated in the Mount Royal neighbourhood and a second male was arrested for trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking. CDSA search warrants were granted for three locations: in the 300 block of Rose Street; the 300 block of Mount Royal Place; and the 2100 block of Abbott Street. The total drugs and money seized in the searches are as follows:

a. Cannabis marihuana – approximately 32lbs (street value of $80,000);

b. Cannabis oil – 101.88g (street value of $2,550)

c. Canadian currency – $43,055

d. Philippines Pesos – 12,950

In total four persons were arrested and charged in connection to this investigation. They are:

– Thirty-one year-old Christopher Scott BOLTON, DOB: 1982-07-03, of Regina, who is charged with

Trafficking Marihuana [5(1) CDSA] and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana [5(2) CDSA];

– Thirty-one year-old Curtis Michael GODLIEN, DOB: 1981-10-28, of Regina, who is charged with Trafficking Marihuana [5(1) CDSA] and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana [5(2) CDSA], Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cannabis Oil [5(2) CDSA] and Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000 [355(a) CC];

– Thirty-two year-old Nichole Luckie PILUK, DOB: 1981-05-13, of Regina, who is charged with Trafficking Marihuana [5(1) CDSA] and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana [5(2) CDSA], Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cannabis Oil [5(2) CDSA] and Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000 [355(a) CC];

– Thirty-three year-old Kyle Kenneth WASMANN, DOB: 1979-11-15, of Regina, who is charged with Trafficking Marihuana [5(1) CDSA] and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana [5(2) CDSA], and Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000 [355(a) CC].

The four accused made their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, July 23, 2013.
