A 64 year-old Regina male has been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm after an incident in the 3800 block of Retallack Street this morning, Friday, July 12, 2013.
Police were dispatched to an apartment building in the 3800 block of Retallack Street at about 7:34 this morning to assist other emergency responders who had been called to this address. The early indication was that a male had discharged a fire extinguisher in the faces of two male victims, ages 28 and 29. It was also alleged that the same male suspect had cut one of the victims in the hand with a steak knife. The male suspect was taken into police custody without further incident. Because the suspect was behaving in an irrational manner, he was transported to hospital for assessment of his medical needs. Additional investigation led to a charge against the male suspect.
Sixty-four year-old Andreas LABENSKAS, DOB: 1949-04-26, is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm [267(b) CC]. He will make his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court on August 15, 2013.
