The Regina Police Service would like to make a clarification to prevent misinterpretation of a local fund-raising effort. The Regina Police Service has been made aware of a fund-raiser being organized by the family of Richele Lee BEAR, a 23 year-old woman who has been missing since the weekend of August 23, 2013.
The Regina Police Service has received some inquiries from the public asking if the Service is matching donations to this fund-raising effort. The Regina Police Service investigation into the disappearance of Richele Lee BEAR is an active, ongoing investigation; however, the Service is not matching donations from the public in this fund-raising endeavour.
The Regina Police Service is still asking the community to assist in this investigation. Police are appealing to the public for any information they can offer in this case.
