A 30 year-old Regina male has been charged with Attempt Murder following an incident in the early hours of Saturday morning, which resulted in the hospitalization of a 44 year-old male victim.
On Saturday, March 8, 2014, at approximately 1:30 a.m., police were dispatched to a house in the 1500 block of Elphinstone Street for a report of a weapons offence. When police arrived and entered the house, they found an adult male, on the floor with injuries described as life-threatening. EMS arrived and transported the victim, a 44 year-old male, to hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, police located two other males in the house, who were both taken into custody without incident. Investigation into this incident led to the release of one of the males; the other was charged with Attempt Murder. The victim remains in hospital.
Thirty year-old Dallas Leroy OXEBIN, DOB: 1984-02-23, of Regina, has been charged with Attempt Murder, contrary to section 239 of the Criminal Code of Canada. OXEBIN will make his first appearance in the charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014.
