A 35 year-old male has been charged in connection with a Fatal Hit and Run collision at Dewdney Avenue and the Ring Road at approximately 3:14 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
The victim of this Fatal Collision was an 18 year old male from Regina. At the time of this collision, the victim was walking along the Ring Road at the Dewdney Avenue off-ramp for south-bound vehicles, when he was struck by a south-bound vehicle taking the off-ramp.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene to offer assistance to the injured pedestrian or contact police.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested by police late last night (Saturday, May 3, 2014).
Charged in this incident is 35 year old Robert Duane BARISOFF, DOB 1978/08/12, of Regina. BARISOFF has been charged with Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident Involving Death [252 (1.3) CC]. BARISOFF will make his first court appearance in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday June 17th, 2014. The name of the deceased person will not be released by police at this time.
