This release is posted on behalf of the Provincial Partnership Committee on Missing Persons as part of Missing Persons Week in Saskatchewan.
The Government of Saskatchewan proclaimed the week of May 4 to 10, 2014 as Saskatchewan Missing Persons Week. The week’s activities will increase public awareness on the varied reasons persons may go missing and highlight five of the frequent causes.
Theme 1: Foul Play
Focus: Safety tips, awareness and education for people participating in risky activities to minimize risk of incidents of foul play.
People may go missing as a result of foul play or criminal conduct.
This year, the Provincial Partnership Committee on Missing Persons has created powerful videos and materials to help raise awareness about some of the ways people can go missing and how to prevent or minimize the risk of going missing.
