The Regina Police Service has charged an adult male with Second Degree murder in relation to the city’s 4th homicide.
On Thursday, July 17, 2014, at about 3:18 a.m., police were dispatched to a Regina hospital for a report of a male who had entered the Emergency Room with life-threatening injuries. Last evening the victim died in the hospital. Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit have been investigating this incident Thursday, Friday and today, with the involvement of the Office of the Coroner.
Forty year old Rueben James PELLETIER (1973/09/18) of Regina has been charged with Second Degree Murder (Section 235(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada). PELLETIER will be making his first court appearance on Monday, July 21st at 9:30 a.m. at the Provincial Courthouse, 1815 Smith Street, Regina.
The investigation into this homicide continues and the victim’s name is not being released at this time.
